More Contactless

Visa Europe has revised up its estimate for the number of contactless debit, credit and prepaid contactless payment cards in circulation in the UK by the end of December 2010 from 10m to 12m. It expects there to be a significant increase during H2 2010 as more banks introduce them for their customers, and added that the number of transactions carried out with a contactless card has doubled during the past six months.
